The validity usually covers the course duration plus a buffer (up to 5 years for a bachelor's degree, for example), with the stay following the course; you must maintain full-time enrolment and meet attendance and academic progress.
Eligible Dependants
You can bring the spouse and children under 18; children's enrolment is subject to condition 8517; the primary applicant must meet additional proof-of-funds requirements.
PR / Permanent Residence Pathway
No direct PR channel. The common pathway is to apply for the 485 temporary graduate visa after graduation to accumulate work/experience, then move to PR via 189/190/491 skilled migration or 482 employer sponsorship.
