Can you come to Australia while waiting?
Common Refusal Reasons
- Failing the balance-of-family test (children in Australia are not at least half, or not more than in any other single country)
- The sponsor is ineligible (not a settled Australian citizen/PR/eligible New Zealand citizen, or under 18)
- No Assurance of Support was provided or the AoS and bond requirements were not met
- The applicant failed the health or character requirement
- Having an outstanding debt to the Australian government with no arrangement to repay
- The high second-instalment visa fee (contribution) was not paid on time
